Having a well-behaved pooch is nice. But not all dog owners have the time or the expertise to conduct proper dog training. Luckily, fur parents in the North Narrabeen area can check out Canine Kindergarten on Windsor Parade for dog training, daycare and grooming.
If your dog is 12 weeks or older and on current worming, flea and tick prevention and has a veterinary proof of a C5 vaccination then he may be qualified for dog training enrollment at Canine Kindergarten. Also, your dog must be desexed after six months of age and should attend at least half a day of assessment at the centre.
Dog assessments can be done Monday – Friday between 7 am – 11 am only. The centre does not accept dogs for daycare after 10 am.
Canine Kindergarten’s dog training and obedience classes
The centre’s dog training classes include puppy classes, dog training, private one-on-one consultations and behavioural programs.
Puppy classes
This training course is suited for puppies aged between 10 to 14 weeks where these furbabies will undergo basic training such as sitting, mat exercises, drop, recalls and lead walking.
Classes will be held for four weeks every Saturday from 8.30 am to 9.30 am. The cost of this course is $180 which includes a clicker, course notes and homework sheets.
Basic pet dog training
If your dog is five months or older, this is the perfect training course for him. This five-week clicker training course involves focus exercises, lead training, stays, mat exercises and recalls as well as an introduction to tricks.
Class time is every Saturday from 10 am to 11 am. The cost is $230, including the clicker and training pouch.
Private One-On-One Training
Does your dog have problems with toilet training, digging, or barking? This course is designed to address such training problems. Owners have the option for the private training to be done either at the centre or in their home environment.
The course lasts for one to 1.5 hours and costs $180 whilst a follow-up training will cost $75.
Behavioural Program
For dogs that demonstrate behavioural problems such as phobias and anxiety, this course is created for them. The cost of the program is $280.
Other services offered by Canine Kindergarten include dog daycare and dog grooming. The dog training centre is located at 2-4 Windsor Pde, North Narrabeen. Their daycare operating hours are from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday. Training is held every Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm.
