Narrabeen Sports High School will be hosting another Car Boot Sale in August, another one in a series of four that it does every year.
Car Boot Sale is an annual fundraising activity for the P&C Association of the Narrabeen Sports High School. It happens four times a year, and for 2019 the scheduled dates are as follows: 24 February, 26 May, 25 August, and 24 November. On these dates, the market will be open to shoppers from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
As the name suggests, Car Boot Sale is similar to a big garage sale where people come and load up their car boots and trailers with items that they have grown out of, or with things that no longer spark them joy but are still considered useful.
Other items you may find at the Car Boot Sale varies from clothes and toys to household items and sporting equipment—all of which are sold for an affordable price. Food and beverage stalls are also available throughout the day at the venue.
What is unique about this sale is that stallholders get to sell their items straight from their car or by a table in front of their car.

Available Volunteers
With hundreds of stalls opened at the Car Boot Sale, members of the Narrabeen Sports High School P&C Association can use extra helping hands. If you are available on any of the Car Boot Sale dates, and if you are also willing to assist with tasks needed such as administration, clearing up and more, you may submit a volunteer application by contacting Sue at 0481 788 151.
Things to Remember
Here are some of the guidelines at the Car Boot Sale:
- Admission is free for all, however a $2 donation is asked from shoppers and visitors for the parking inside the school grounds.
- The Car Boot Sale is held on the rear field at Narrabeen Sports High School. And since it is an outdoor event, everyone is advised to come in prepared by wearing a hat and sunscreen, or by bringing an umbrella in case of rain.
